When an above-ground pool has reached the end of its useful life, we dismantle the structure, load the materials, and clear the area so the yard is usable again.
What's left in the yard once the pool frame is gone
An above-ground pool looks like one object from the street, but it comes apart as several: the metal or resin wall panels, the frame legs and top rails holding the shape, the liner that held the water, and often a sand or paver base underneath. None of it is built to be lifted out in one motion, and once the water is gone the liner alone can weigh more than it looks like it should. We dismantle the structure panel by panel, load the frame and liner separately, and clear the pad or patio furniture that's usually sitting around it, so what's left behind is bare ground instead of a half-taken-apart pool nobody wants to finish.
What comes off the property and what stays
We handle the teardown ourselves, so you don't need to drain or dismantle anything before we arrive. The metal frame goes toward recycling wherever the material allows, and the liner and any patio debris around it are hauled and disposed of properly. What we can't take is the dirt, gravel, or rock underneath, since that's one of our few hard exclusions, so if the site needs to be leveled or filled in after the pool's gone, that part is a separate job worth asking a landscaper about. Either way, we leave the actual pool footprint clear.

The part left behind
A pool leaves more than an empty spot in the yard.
Take the structure away and what's underneath is usually a ring of flattened, starved grass or bare dirt in the exact shape of the pool, along with whatever patio furniture, steps, or a concrete pad had been arranged around it for years. That's the part that actually decides whether the yard feels done or just emptied out.
We clear the furniture and debris around the footprint along with the pool itself, so you're not left staring at a dead patch surrounded by leftover pieces. No job is too big or too small, and if the setup includes a built-in deck or an unusually large or heavy pool, tell us on the call. We'll say up front if it needs special equipment or an on-site estimate, not after we've already started.
